Sigh

The vast sea lies in front of me
The sea is now so calm at evening
But she has changed my mind
From a year back and I have lost faith
Waiting for my beloved son over here in my hut.

In my life ever my fate was to wait
Seventeen years I waited for my father ever
Who left us and went abroad but never did he came.
Again ever I waited in evening with prayers
Till my man caught sardines, prawns and alike
From the mid sea everyday and made a living.

And still fate parted us when one evening
I saw him floating after a stormy night
By the violent sea, but still then
In this shore I alone taught his son
To walk in this shore.

But the violent sea doesn't see
The tears in my eyes as I lost my beloved
And now I missed my only son
In the violent roars of sea again
And I am waiting for him over here even now.

I am losing my patience now
For I have no fear to die
In this vast sea but still ,If he comes,
He won't be just an orphan.
